Instant Pot Hard-Boiled Eggs
The Instant Pot makes hard-boiled eggs that peel cleanly every time thanks to the easy-release pressure method. Cook a batch for grab-and-go high-protein snacks all week.
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup water (for the pot)
- 2 cups ice (for the ice bath)
- 1 pinch salt (optional)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot and place the trivet inside.
- Arrange the eggs on the trivet in a single layer or use a steamer basket.
- Lock the lid, set the valve to Sealing, and pressure cook on High for 5 minutes.
- Allow a natural pressure release for 5 minutes after cooking.
- Quick-release any remaining pressure and carefully transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water.
- Let the eggs chill for 5 minutes, then peel under running water.
- Season with salt or slice and serve with a smear of Dijon.
