Ingredients

  • 6 oz salmon fillet, skin on
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp scallions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Whisk the soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, ginger, and garlic in a small bowl.
  2. Pat the salmon dry and season lightly with salt.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add sesame oil.
  4. Sear the salmon skin-side down for 4 minutes until crisp.
