Banana Nice Cream
The magic of nice cream: frozen bananas blend into a texture identical to soft-serve ice cream — no cream, no sugar, no ice cream maker needed. It’s the healthiest ice cream you’ll ever eat.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
- 1 tbsp almond milk (only if needed for blending)
- Optional toppings:
- 10g dark chocolate, shaved
- 1 tbsp chopped nuts
- 1 tsp cocoa powder (for chocolate nice cream)
- 1/2 cup fresh berries
Instructions
-
Freeze banana slices in a single layer on a plate or tray for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
-
Add frozen banana slices to a food processor or high-powered blender.
-
Blend — at first it will look crumbly. Keep scraping down the sides and blending.
-
After about 2-3 minutes, the bananas will suddenly turn smooth and creamy like soft-serve ice cream.
-
Add optional mix-ins (cocoa powder, etc.) and blend for 10 more seconds.
-
Serve immediately for soft-serve texture, or freeze for 30 minutes for a firmer scoop.
-
Top with dark chocolate shavings, nuts, or berries.

Tips
- Use overripe bananas (brown spots) for maximum natural sweetness.
- For chocolate nice cream, add 2 tbsp cocoa powder during blending.
- Add 1 tbsp peanut butter for a peanut butter cup flavor.
- The bananas must be fully frozen — partially frozen ones won’t achieve the right texture.
